In the era of tweets, Facebook posts, and selfies, this blog is intended to be a spot to reflect in slightly greater depth on subjects I follow and care about.
For almost a decade, I’ve been writing in various places about farmworkers, the UFW, Cesar Chavez, agriculture, and related subjects like labor, social movements, and immigration. All those are very much in the news right now. I will blog when I have something to add to the story or some commentary that might help make sense of events or add perspective.
Since my biography of Chavez will be published in a couple of weeks and I will be on the road speaking at events for most of April, many of my early posts may pertain to the book. But I hope this space becomes a forum over time for conversations about a myriad of significant issues. So please keep checking this space, follow me on twitter @miriampawel, like the book page on facebook, and email me with thoughts and comments.
